Design Essentials® offers effective, quality hair products for your personal hair needs. There are countless hair types, everyone has different hair. And every hair type needs different care. We all have different hair needs, for which other hair products fit. Design Essentials understands this all too well!
The History of Design Essentials
The first Design Essentials hair care line was launched in 1990. This line was a combination of high quality hair care solutions combined with the salon and consumer knowledge to use the products effectively in the salon or at home. The principle of making the products easy to use but using high-quality ingredients has resulted in beautiful lines. The products promote the natural balance of the hair by using vitamins, proteins and natural ingredients that improve the movement and manageability of the hair.
Which product lines does Design Essentials have?
We have a total of three product lines from Design Essentials on our webshop:
1. Almond & Avocado - makes it easy to create your go-to style and beautifully defines your curls.
2. Coconut & Monoi - breathe new life into your hair with intense care. Thirsty hair is hydrated and the moisture balance is restored. Ideal for dry, dull hair.
3. Agave & Lavender - has been specially developed for the perfect blow-dry! This line optimally protects your hair against a blow-dry and thermal styling by providing your hair with ultimate moisture.

Is Design Essentials cruelty free and vegan?
Design Essentials is PETA licensed. This means that they are cruelty free and therefore do not test on animals. We are happy with that! The products are not vegan, which means that there may be animal ingredients in the products.
Where can I find experiences about Design Essentials?
Design Essentials has a super cool YouTube channel where they often show you how to best use a product. For example, in this video they show how you can use the entire Agave & Lavender line. How handy!
Is Design Essentials free from harmful ingredients?
We want the very best for your hair. Ingredients that can dry out your curls - we really don't feel like that! It differs per product which harmful ingredients are not in it. Check the products yourself to see what else is not in them! But Design Essentials products are in any case free of:

The Agave & Lavender line is in principle suitable for every hair type, this line provides optimal protection if you are going to blow-dry or thermally style your hair. Curl type 1A-1C
Do you have straight hair and a texture from fine to coarse locks? Does your hair get greasy easily and curls don't last long in your hair? Then the entire Agave & Lavender line is right for you! This line takes care of your hair when you start styling your hair.
Curl type 2A-2C
With curl type 2A-2C you have wavy hair that varies from a fine to coarse structure. It should be easy to style and straighten, but it is prone to dryness and frizz.

Curl type 3A-3C

Curl type 4A-4C
Curl types 4A, 4B and 4C consist of tightly coiled curls with a spiraling pattern. These curls have a fine to coarse texture. This curl type is unfortunately prone to dryness, tangles, lack of definition and hair breakage. The curls are wiry and have little elasticity.
