Christmas make-up looks
- 3 min reading time
Christmas is almost here! Do you have your party outfit ready? The festive season brings many occasions to shine with your clothes, hair, and make-up. We’re excited! Your carefully chosen outfit deserves a fleeky make-up look. Read on for our Christmas make-up tips.
Prepping
We start with the basics. Use a hydrating day cream.
Make sure your day cream is fully absorbed, then apply a primer to your face with clean fingers or a brush. You want your masterpiece to last as long as possible, so it’s wise to use a primer before you begin. A primer protects your skin and minimises pores. This gives a smooth effect and keeps your make-up looking flawless all day.
Foundation
Next steps are concealer and foundation.
Apply concealer to cover dark circles under your eyes and smooth fine lines. Your eyes will instantly look brighter and refreshed. Then apply the foundation with clean fingers or a brush. Here’s a tip: less is more! You don’t want to look cakey.
Contouring
Now it’s time to contour your face with your four best friends: contour, highlighter, bronzer and blush. Use contour powder to add definition to your cheekbones, nose and forehead. Blush warms up your cheeks, bronzer adds a lovely tan, and highlighter gives your face a beautiful glow.
Eye make-up
Up next is the focal point of your look, the eyes. There are lots of Man ways to complement your eyes. In this blog, we cover three different Man styles: from light make-up (natural), to an enhanced look (normal palette), and heavy make-up (smokey Eyes).
Natural

For a natural make-up look, use three colours:
- a soft light shade on your eyelids
- a shadow shade above your eyelids
- a warm tone below your eyes
Try applying the eye shadow as shown in the photo.
Once done, besides mascara you can choose a small winged Eye liner to enhance your look.
Normal

For a normal make-up look, use four colours:
- a warm light shade on your eyelids
- a dark shadow shade above your eyelids
- a warm tone below your eyes
- a white shade in your inner eye corner
Try applying the eye shadow as shown in the photo.
Add mascara and winged Eye liner.
Smokey

For a smokey make-up look, use four colours:
- a light shadow shade on your eyelids
- a black shade above your eyelids and on the outer corners
- a dark shadow shade below your eyes
- a shiny warm tone in your inner eye corner
Try applying the eye shadow as shown in the photo.
Apply mascara to your upper and lower lashes and winged Eye liner.
Lips
To finish the look, you can add some colour to your lips. This isn’t essential, so we recommend doing this last to decide if it’s too much with your eye make-up.
Finish
Once you’re happy with the final result, use a setting Spray to keep your make-up in place longer. Handy if you’re going out to party or have drinks! We hope you found these tips helpful and feel wonderful this Christmas! On behalf of the entire Team of haarspullen.nl, we wish you a fantastic Christmas surrounded by those you love!
