What types of face masks are there?
There are many different kinds of face masks. They vary in texture and effect.
Looking at the different textures, these types stand out:
- Clay mask: ideal for deep cleansing. A clay mask cleanses pores thoroughly and removes excess oil. It has a thick, liquid texture. Once applied, it hardens within minutes and needs to be rinsed off.
- Peel-off mask: applied as a liquid that dries after a few minutes, allowing you to peel it off. Peel-off masks hydrate, remove impurities, and shrink pores.
- Cream mask: feels like a thick cream and usually hydrates and soothes. Cream masks are gentle, making them suitable for sensitive skin.
- Sheet mask: originally from South Korea, made of a sheet soaked in a liquid. After use, you remove the sheet but the essence remains on your skin. These masks serve various purposes.
- Peeling: helps remove dead skin cells.
How does a face mask work?
Face masks have various effects. You can find a suitable mask for every skin concern. For best results, choose one that matches your skin's needs. Here are the different effects:

How do you use a face mask?
Each face mask is unique and must be used differently Man. We always recommend reading the instructions on the packaging.
Before applying a mask, carefully cleanse your skin. Then apply the mask to your face using your fingertips or a brush, avoiding the eye area. Leave it on for several minutes, typically around ten to fifteen minutes. Afterward, rinse your face thoroughly with lukewarm water. Make sure no residue remains. Cleanse once more with a Lotion and finish with your favourite face cream or serum.
How often should you use a face mask?
How often depends on the mask. Generally, using a mask once or twice a week is recommended. Always consider your skin’s needs. If you have dry or sensitive skin, use masks less often.
