How do I start with the CG method?
Before starting the CG Method, it鈥檚 important to know which curl type you have. To be sure of your hair type, check out the following page: What is my curl type and discover the porosity & elasticity of your curls.聽
Once you know your curl type, it鈥檚 easier to find the right products. Next, you need to figure out if your hair holds moisture well or not, this is called poroSisity. With low poroSisity, your hair takes more than eight hours to dry. With high poroSisity, your hair dries in less than two hours. Check the pages I have low porosity curls and聽I have high porosity curls for all characteristics of low- and high-porosity curls, so you鈥檒l quickly know your curl type and which care suits it best.

How do I choose CG products?
Now that you know your curl type and whether your curls are low or high porosity, we can look for the right products. It鈥檚 important to know if you need products with or without protein. If your hair has low porosity, it contains enough protein but lacks moisture. A product with high hydration is essential. If you have high porosity hair, it has enough moisture but lacks protein.

Which CG care and styling products do I definitely need?
The main products you need are a (final wash) shampoo, a conditioner, a hair mask and styling products. Often it鈥檚 unclear whether you should use shampoo for your curls. Let us explain: Washing your hair with CG-friendly shampoo is completely fine and ensures your hair gets properly cleaned. You can choose to gradually reduce shampoo use. When choosing the right curly products, it鈥檚 also important to consider bleached hair.
