How do I use the Color Touch Kit?

The question you were most likely looking for: how to use the Kit. For convenience, we have listed the entire step-by-step plan for you:

 

Preparation:

1. Start by washing your hair. Use a mild shampoo from Wella to avoid damaging the hair.
2. Then towel-dry the hair and comb it gently.
3. Put on the gloves and cover your clothes with a towel. 
4. Twist off the transparent cap of the emulsion bottle. Open the color cream tube and add the contents to the emulsion. 
5. Place the cap back on the emulsion bottle.

 

Application:

1. Shake the bottle well until the emulsion and color cream are sufficiently mixed. 
2. Open the cap of the applicator bottle and start applying immediately. Do this from the center of the head and then work towards the back.
3. Apply towards the face. Once the mixture is fully applied to the hair, you can comb your hair for an even distribution. 
4. Leave it on for about 20 minutes. If the hair is permed, porous, or already colored, we recommend leaving it on for 15 minutes. The longer the development time, the more intense the color result.
5. Rinse the color out with warm water and gently massage the hairline and scalp.

 

Treatment afterwards:

1. Apply the included mask, massage it in, and leave it on for 5 minutes.
2. Rinse the mask thoroughly and voila!

How long does the color of Wella Color Touch last?

Wella Color Touch is a demi-permanent hair color. This means the color does not last forever, but it also doesn’t wash out immediately after 3 washes. The Color Touch fades after 6 to 8 weeks. Additionally, the color provides up to 50% gray coverage. Ideal when you just want to try out a color!
