How important is facial care?
Very important! Many people underestimate how important facial care actually is. Your skin is exposed to harmful external influences every day, such as: cold, heat, UV radiation, dirt, make-up residue and much more. Which skincare products suit my skin type?
Nowadays, there are so many different types of skincare on sale, which can make it difficult to choose what to do. First, it is important to see what type of skin you have. This is often divided into 3 types: dry, oily or combination skin. But how do you recognize this?
With dry skin, the skin often feels tight after washing and sometimes has dull spots with flakes. With oily skin, the pores are usually somewhat coarser and the skin shines more, due to the overproduction of sebum that is made. A combination skin can be recognized by somewhat drier cheeks and an oily T-zone.
Now that you have a little insight into what kind of skin type you have, below is which skincare is best for which skin type:
Dry skin: we recommend using a thick cream that hydrates well. As a cleanser, it is best to choose one with a milk or oil substance. In addition, it is certainly not wrong to add extra steps to your skincare routine for dry skin. Think of a nourishing serum or a moisturizing mask. How often should I use skincare products?
First of all, we recommend that you cleanse your skin at least twice a day, in the morning and in the evening. Do this with a cleansing product, you can add a tonic to it. You apply a tonic after cleansing your face and it always removes impurities and cleansing products.
With a 'basic' skin routine, you always use a (day and night) cream after cleansing (and tonic) to nourish and hydrate the skin. With 2x a day cleansing, tonic & cream with products that suit your skin type, you are already well on your way to healthy skin! By keeping up with your skincare, you reduce the chance of impurities, and your skin looks beautiful and radiant.
