When you switch on the CHI G2 Straightener, the temperature rises to 180 degrees quickly. It heats up in just 30 seconds! Once heated, the temperature can be adjusted using the + and – buttons on the display. The temperature changes in steps of 5 degrees.

To use the three preset temperature levels, the menu button must be used.

• 180 degrees - blue display - fine and thin hair
• 200 degrees - green display - normal hair
• 220 degrees - red display - thick hair

If you press the menu button once more after the last preset 220 degrees red, the temperature will drop to 160 degrees. From this setting you can also adjust the temperature manually in 5-degree steps.

The CHI G2 Ceramic & Titanium Straightener works for all hair types. The question is, which temperature suits your hair? If you have fine and thin hair, 180 degrees is perfect. Normal hair works best at 200 degrees, and thick hair benefits from 220 degrees. These settings are designed to work effectively without damaging your hair. However, our Team always advise using heat protection!

Although it's very convenient to have three preset temperatures on the CHI G2 Ceramic & Titanium Straightener, you might want to set your own temperature. Perhaps there’s a temperature in between that works better for your hair. That’s taken into account – the CHI G2 temperature is manually adjustable in steps of 5 degrees.
