New pacifier in the house? Always fun! Especially if you have new lovely colours from BIBS! But new pacifiers need a good clean first – gently of course, as natural rubber is sensitive. And maybe you already know that ;) Below we’ve listed the baSics for you, so you can always check what you can or can’t do with your little one’s pacifiers ♡
Here’s how to do it again:
- Boil water in a pan or kettle
- Pour the boiled water into a bowl and place the pacifiers inside
- Soak for a maximum of five minutes – no longer!
- Then lay them on a clean towel to dry and cool
For daily cleaning:
- Rinse the pacifier with warm water
- Do not boil, dishwasher or microwave (rubber doesn’t like that)
- If the pacifier feels sticky or looks stretched, time for a new one! (That’s always fun, picking new prints and colours!)
The pacifier smells a bit like rubber... is that normal?
Yes, that’s completely normal! You may not have noticed, but the pacifiers are made from natural material. No artificial coating is used, so you get the pure material – rubber, which has a scent. After a few uses, the smell fades a little, or you may not even notice it anymore.
