You might love the new Block Blush Mix pacifiers but want to know if the features are the same as your other pacifiers for your little boy. A cool pacifier can look great and match lovely outfits – but it must be practical for your little one. We all know that ;)

Pacifiers are really everyday items, used a lot every day. That’s why it’s important to check them regularly to see if they’re still in good condition. Before use, always inspect pacifiers for wear, any edge impressions or changes in size or shape of the teat, and of course cracks in the natural rubber. If you find any damage to the BIBS pacifier during your check, don’t use it anymore and take another from your stock :)

If the BIBS pacifier is otherwise fine and used a lot, it’s important to clean it regularly. Always boil the Studio Collection Block Blush pacifiers before use. Boil some water in a pot or kettle, then pour the boiled water into a pot or bowl, whichever you prefer. Put the natural rubber BIBS teat in it and leave it for a MAXIMUM of five minutes. Then let it cool, dry, and it’s ready to use! Be careful not to give the hot pacifier to your baby, as this can cause a burnt mouth and that’s not what you want.

For daily cleaning or sterilising, simply pour boiled water over the pacifier. Do not boil the pacifier in water! Boiling it is NOT necessary.

Tip - Is your little boy or girl older than three months? Then you can put the Pin & Block Blush pacifiers in a colander or sieve and pour boiling water over them. This makes the process quicker and also prevents water from collecting inside the pacifier.

Note! Parents often boil BIBS pacifiers for five minutes, following advice from the National Health Council, but this causes the pacifier to break. BIBS pacifiers are made from natural rubber and aren’t designed for boiling; the heat damages the teat. Bacteria are killed using the above method, and the Pin & Block Sky Blue pacifiers are not affected.

UV or steam sterilising also damages the natural rubber. So don’t do that.
