Pacifiers are really an everyday item, so it's important to check them regularly. Before using the BIBS pacifiers, always inspect them for wear, edge impressions, or changes in size or shape of the teat and of course tears in the natural rubber. If there are any signs of damage to the BIBS pacifier, don't use it anymore and grab a fresh one from your stock :)

If the BIBS pacifier is in good condition and used a lot, regular cleaning is important. Before use, always boil the Studio Collection Jasmine pacifiers. Boil some water, in a pot or kettle, and once boiled, pour the hot water into a pot or bowl – whichever you prefer. Place the natural rubber teat of the BIBS pacifier inside and leave it in the water for MAXIMUM five minutes. Then you can let it cool, dry and use it! Be careful not to give the hot pacifier to your baby to avoid burns.

For daily cleaning or sterilising, you can simply pour boiled water over the pacifier without boiling it with the teat inside! Boiling the pacifier itself is NOT necessary.

Note: Although advice is often to boil pacifiers for five minutes, this is not recommended for BIBS pacifiers! Why? They are made from natural rubber, and heat damages the rubber. The above cleaning method is enough, as it kills all bacteria, which is the whole point of cleaning pacifiers :)
