You might find the new Pin & Block Sage Mix pacifiers fantastic but want to know if the features are the same as your other pacifiers for your little one. A pacifier can look great but must also be practical for your baby.

Pacifiers are real everyday items, so it's important to check them regularly for damage. Always inspect the pacifiers before use for wear, marks around the edges, any changes in size or shape of the nipple, and of course any tears in the natural rubber. If you find any damage during your quick check, don’t use that BIBS pacifier and take another from your stock :)

If the BIBS pacifier is still in good condition and used frequently, it’s important to clean it regularly. Before use, always boil the Studio Collection Block Sage pacifiers. Boil some water, in a pan or kettle, then pour the boiled water into a pan or bowl—whichever you prefer. Place the natural rubber pacifier in it and leave it in the water for a MAXIMUM of five minutes. Then let it cool, dry, and it’s ready to use! Be careful not to give the hot pacifier to your baby, as this can cause mouth burns, which you want to avoid.

For daily cleaning or sterilising, just pour already boiled water over the pacifier. So do not boil it with the pacifier in it! Boiling it is NOT necessary.

Tip - Is your little boy or girl older than three months? Then you can also put the Pin & Block Sage Mix pacifiers in a sieve or colander and pour boiling water over them. This will make the process quicker and also prevents water from collecting inside the pacifier.

Beware! Parents often boil BIBS pacifiers for five minutes following advice from the National Health Council, which results in damaged BIBS pacifiers. BIBS pacifiers are made of natural rubber and are not suitable for boiling, as the heat damages the nipple. The bacteria are killed with the above method, and the Pin & Block Sage pacifiers remain intact.

UV or steam sterilizers also damage the natural rubber. So avoid those.
