Pumping is one thing, but cleaning needs to be quick and Siasy. You and your Man spend whole days with your little wonder, so small chores need to be done as fast (and effective) as possible. Luckily, that’s exactly how it is with the LanSinoh Breast Pump. Here’s how:

Step 1. Detach all parts as per the instructions. They explain exactly how.

Step 2. Rinse immediately – lukewarm water is perfect to prevent milk from sticking.

Step 3. Wash – Use a mild detergent and a soft brush (or your hand). The HAAKAA Silicone Cleaning Set is an example. Dishwasher safe too.

Step 4. Sterilise some parts by boiling for five minutes. Check instructions first to see what’s allowed and what’s not.

Step 5. Check for damage – Wear and tear? Replace parts. You don’t want issues during or after pumping.

Step 6. Dry and store – Keep in a clean, dry place. Not in direct sunlight or near sharp objects.

You don’t need to be an expert, we promise. Often it’s helpful to watch or read how to use something. Just follow these steps and you’ll be pumping in no time:

1. Plug in or insert 6 AA batteries.
   
   
2. Follow the instructions and make sure everything fits securely, i.e., assemble the parts.
   
   
3. Choose your breast shield size – 24 mm or 30.5 mm, whichever you need.
   
   
4. Switch on the pump and pick the suction level you prefer.
   
   
5. Let the pump do its job – first quick suction to trigger your let-down reflex, then slower – just like your baby.
   
   
6. Collect the milk – in the included bottle, ready for the next feed.
   
   
7. Time to clean – done? Clean again following the above steps.
