Before you start lightening your hair, decide whether to use Vol20 or Vol30. If you want to treat the entire hair from scalp to ends, use Vol20. For lengths and ends only, use Vol30.

Mix the chosen version with the L'Oréal ProfesSionnel Lightening Powder 9, mixing ratio 1:1. Apply the mixture to dry hair and leave for up to fifty minutes. The processing time depends on your desired colour result. No extra heat is needed. 

Vol30 has a higher oxidation percentage. This makes it ideal for lightening hair lengths and ends. For use on the scalp, this percentage is too strong. If you want to treat the scalp, roots, lengths and ends, we recommend choosing the lower oxidation percentage of Vol20.
