The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA - 30ml is a 10% lactic acid exfoliant. It’s a facial peel that targets uneven skin tone, irregular skin texture, and fine lines. It’s supported with purified Tasmanian pepperberry extract, proven to reduce irritation and sensitivity that can come with acid use. This water-based serum from The Ordinary is perfect for dry skin types. The pH of this formula is around 3.8. Lactic acid has a pKa of 3.8, which is the key factor when formulating with acids. pKa determines acid availability. When pKa is close to pH, you get the ideal balance between salt and acid, maximising acid effectiveness while reducing irritation. Lactic acid should not be used on sensitive or fragile skin.
