The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA - 30ml is a 10% lactic acid exfoliant. It is a facial peel that targets uneven tone, uneven skin texture and fine lines. It is supported by purified Tasmanian pepperberry extract, shown to reduce irritation and sensitivity that may come with acid use. This water-based serum from The Ordinary is ideal for dry skin types. The pH of this formula is approx. 3.8. Lactic acid has a pKa of 3.8 and pKa is the main aspect to consider when formulating with acids. pKa implies the availability of acids. When pKa is close to pH, there is an ideal balance between salt and acid, maximising the acid's effectiveness while reducing irritation. Lactic acid should not be used on sensitive or fragile skin.
The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA - 30ml has the following features:
Step 1: Use the serum daily, preferably in the evening. The formula can be diluted with other products to reduce strength.
Step 2: Avoid eye contact
Step 3: Apply a small amount to the skin.
