Secrets for Curly Girls

• Be careful when brushing curls. Don’t brush your hair when it’s towel-dry or dry. Tip: brush it in the shower while your conditioner is soaking in. If you comb your curls after the shower, you separate your curls and this causes frizz. 
• End your shower with cold water. This closes the hair cuticles, resulting in less frizz. Plus, it gives you a beautiful shine. A natural conditioner!
• Don't wash your curls more than 3 times a week. Your hair needs cleansing, but it’s important to keep your hair’s natural oils. Curls are naturally a bit drier. 
• Avoid heat tools as much as possible. Curls are more fragile and naturally drier. A heat tool dries out the hair and can damage the delicate curl. 
• Use invisibobble hair ties to prevent kinks in your curls.
• Treat your hair regularly (about once a week) with a nourishing mask. 
• Avoid sulfates as much as possible. These are cleansers that remove dirt, styling residues, and excess oils from the hair. But they can also wash out the 'good' oils from the hair, which you especially need as a curly-haired person. 
• Coconut oil works wonders for curls.
• Use a satin pillowcase to prevent friction, which makes your curls less frizzy.
• Determine what type of curls you have. Do you have low porosity or high porosity hair? Do your curls need moisture or protein? This way, you can create the best care for your curls. 

 

Mad About Lengths

With the Mad About Lengths products, you have the perfect care for long hair. Healthy long hair is something everyone can enjoy, but it’s not a given. Secrets for long hair

You naturally want to avoid damaging your hair, but how can you do that as little as possible? Below we have listed some secrets especially for long hair, so you damage your hair as little as possible and take good care of it: 

• Avoid hair ties with a metal piece. The metal piece can cause your hair to break more easily, and of course, you want to prevent that. 
• Don't wash your hair every day, but for example 3 times a week.
• Try to avoid heat. Curling or straightening your hair looks great, but it does damage your hair. So try to use heat as little as possible. If you do want to use heat on your hair, make sure to use a heat protector and don’t set the tool too hot. 
• Be careful when brushing your hair. If you brush too hard, your hair may break. When your hair is wet, you need to be even more gentle, as wet hair breaks more easily. 
• Try not to rub your hair too hard with the towel while drying, as this can cause hair breakage. 
• Besides keeping all the above in mind, caring for your hair remains essential. Always wash your hair with conditioner and try to use a hair mask once or twice a week.
