How do I keep the BIBS x Boheme pacifiers clean?
Fortunately, cleaning these natural rubber pearls is not complicated at all - as long as you do it the right way. Because although they can take a lot, they are still sensitive to too high temperatures. And of course we handle that carefully.
- First use
Place the teat in a colander and pour boiling water over it. Let it rest for a few minutes and then dry it well on a clean cloth. Never boil it or put it in a sterilizer - the rubber will not be happy about that. - Daily cleaning
Rinse the pacifier thoroughly with warm water after each use and let it dry. This keeps it hygienic and safe. - When to replace?
Does the pacifier feel sticky, is it stretched or do you see cracks? Then it is time for replacement. On average, a pacifier lasts 4 to 6 weeks, depending on use.
Why does this pacifier smell a bit like rubber?
That is a frequently asked question, and the answer is simple: it is completely normal. The pacifier is made of natural rubber latex , a pure material without synthetic layers. As a result, it smells a bit like… well, rubber. Fortunately, most babies like this and the smell largely disappears after a few uses.
If you still don't like it, you can always try a silicone pacifier, but be careful: they feel a little different and not every child is a fan of them.
