The Ordinary Lactic Acid 5% + HA is a gentle exfoliant that uses 5% lactic acid to refine skin texture, promote an even skin tone and target fine lines. The formula contains purified Tasmanian pepperberry extract, known for its soothing properties and helps to reduce potential irritation caused by acids. This aqueous serum from The Ordinary is especially suited for dry skin and has a pH of approximately 3.8. This pH perfectly matches the pKa of lactic acid (also 3.8), which is essential for optimal effectiveness. A well-balanced acid to salt ratio not only ensures maximum effectiveness, but also reduces the risk of irritation, making the serum a balanced choice for softer, smoother skin.
The Ordinary Lactic Acid 5% + HA has the following characteristics:
Step 1 : Use the serum daily, preferably in the evening. The formula can be diluted with other products to reduce its strength.
Step 2 : Avoid contact with eyes
Step 3 : Apply a small amount to the skin.
