What is vegan skin care?

Vegan skincare contains no animal products and is always cruelty-free, but that does not mean that this is also the case the other way around. Cruelty-free brands do not always have to be vegan and can therefore contain animal products. Since 13 March 2013, animal testing has been banned throughout Europe. Unfortunately, this does not have to mean that all brands sold in Europe are actually animal-friendly. Ingredients purchased outside the EU may have been tested on animals. In China it is even mandatory to test care products on animals.
