Vitakruid 's Iron Bisglycinate Complex is formulated to prevent a low copper status. Balance is crucial, not only in life but also for our mineral balance. The various minerals in our body interact in different ways, including iron and copper. The double-sided antagonistic effect can lead to a low copper status with increased iron intake, and vice versa. For this reason, 50 mcg of copper has been added to the complex. Copper also has a positive effect on iron transport. Naturally, the copper is also in an easily absorbable form: gluconate.

Vitamins A, B and C have been added to the complex because they support iron metabolism.

A common complaint when taking iron is stomach and intestinal discomfort. This is because the small intestine can only absorb a small percentage (15%) of the iron consumed. Most of the iron therefore ends up in the large intestine, where it promotes the growth of bacteria responsible for stomach or intestinal complaints.
