Take a wet strand of hair, pull it apart slightly, and wrap it around your finger. Then watch carefully what happens. Does the strand break immediately or does it take a while? This shows the elasticity of your hair.
- The hair breaks almost immediately | This means the elasticity is low and that a product without protein is recommended for your hair.
- The hair stretches slightly, but doesn't break immediately . This indicates that your hair has normal elasticity. You can therefore use products with or without protein.
- The hair doesn't break | This means it has high elasticity. Products with protein are recommended.
Keep testing your hair for elasticity from time to time, because whether or not you use protein can change your hair.
