Dye your eyebrows a shade darker or lighter? There are many trends in eyebrows. Sometimes it's difficult to keep up with them all, but the most important thing is that you are happy with your wenkies! You can have your eyebrows dyed at the beautician, but sometimes it is also nice to be able to do it from home. We have different eyebrow colorings in our range so that you can easily have your eyebrows fleek from home! Scroll down for 5 useful tips & tricks.
1. Do not use normal hair dye
Never use normal hair dye to dye your eyebrows. The skin around your eyebrows is a lot more sensitive than your scalp. Normal hair dye can be too aggressive for the skin around your eyebrows.
2. Test if you are not allergic
Before using the eyebrow paint, it is useful to first check whether you are not allergic to the product. Smear a little eyebrow paint on the inside of your elbow and put a bandage over it. Let this sit for at least 24 hours. If you don't have a skin reaction to the product after 24-48 hours, you can safely use it.
3. Cleanse your skin well before you start
Before you start painting your eyebrows, cleanse your skin. Use a facial cleanser without oil for this. Oil prevents the paint from taking hold.
4. Use Vaseline
Do you find it difficult to work very precisely? Then use a little Vaseline. Spread a little Vaseline around the skin of your eyebrows. The greasy cream ensures that the paint does not catch on the places where you apply the Vaseline.
5. Make sure your eyebrows don't get wet
Of course you want to enjoy your dyed eyebrows for as long as possible. Therefore, make sure that your eyebrows do not get wet for at least 24 hours after dyeing. Then the paint can pull well into the eyebrow hairs.
The very last and most important step: Rock your eyebrows!
You can of course choose any color you like. If you want to go for a natural effect, the color of your eyebrows depends a lot on what hair color you have.
The blondes among us often have naturally light eyebrows. The wish is therefore to make the eyebrows stand out more. In this case, opt for a darker color with a gray undertone. Be careful not to choose a color that is too dark. Go for a color that is up to three shades darker than your own eyebrows.
The opposite is true for brunettes and people with black hair. Do you have a dark hair color? Then it is best to choose an eyebrow color that is slightly lighter than your own hair color. Choose an eyebrow color that is one to two shades lighter than your natural eyebrow color. This way you create a softer look.
Not to mention the gorgeous redheads. If you have red hair, you often have naturally light eyebrows, just like the blondes. So choose a darker eyebrow color. As a redhead, it is advisable to choose a color with a warm undertone. This matches nicely with the hair color for a natural result.
