The action and other go-to stores have children's made-up, and cheap too - but is it actually cheap? Should your child ultimately have to pay for this? No of course not! And we as parents are also done with that and fortunately you see that more and more. Mothers are waking up, they have started reading labels. And of course we are still far from there, but step by step parents are starting to read labels on everything that concerns a child ;)
Children's make-up at Haarspullen, why exactly?
As you read, there is a shift going on in the 'children's world' of things. From toys, care items to children's make-up. More and more people are looking at the micro level and actually looking at the ingredients. Because what are we actually putting on our children? What do we let our children play with? And what do we let our children eat? We at Haarspullen would like to be a portal to the more 'standard' families who do not quickly go to niche web shops to stock up on children's items. We want to make healthy children's make-up the norm and not exceptional.
That is why we have brands such as Miss Nella and the Dutch TOOT! have included in our range. The environment, yes, many people are concerned about that - but what about the kids? Yes, that is what we are happy to help with. The children are the most important thing - they are our future. And we think we should cherish them :)
Is children's make-up safe for my child's delicate skin?
This is a frequently asked question, and also one that is being asked more and more. This is honestly a very good question. There are all kinds of children's made-up, but that does not mean that children's made-up is safe. Although it is really growing, we are not there yet - we are in the early stages. The brands that we sell here on Haarspullen.nl are make-up for children that are safe. That is also why we have included them in our range.

At what age is it appropriate for children to wear makeup?
This is once again a frequently asked question, and the only answer is that you as a mother or father can best determine when they can play with children's make-up. You can read all kinds of things and watch what others are doing, but ultimately you are the parent and that means you decide! Regardless of what others do or what they think about it. What we can answer is what is the common age to play with children's make-up. Around the age of 2 or 3, little girls love to play, especially to do it with their mother. Children imitate us, and girls like to imitate their mothers. Enjoy making up together without worrying about the ingredients in it. Especially at the age of 2 or 3, that is young. And you don't want all kinds of silicones, phthalates and other hormone disruptors in your little girl.
Are there brands that specialize in safe children's makeup?
Absolutely, and more and more brands are being added for children. We currently have a total of three children's made-up brands in our range:
Ivy & Loulou - is a fairly new Dutch brand for the littlest girls. This beautiful brand was developed by the parents of Ivy & Loulou, their 2 daughters. They wanted to play princes, etc. and she discovered that there was junk in everything. That's how Ivy & LouLou was born. You can find this beautiful brand here at Ivy & LouLou .
Miss Nella is a beautiful English brand where a similar situation has arisen - reading ingredients on children's make-up. It also made them unhappy and started developing safe children's make-up. Over the years, many things have been added, includingchildren's nail polish .
TOOT! is another beautiful Dutch brand that has existed since 2021. Also new! Another Dutch mother who also wanted to let her daughter mess around with make-up and discovered what a mess it was. So she also started to develop safe children's make-up, because it has actually become more for teenagers.
Are there makeup products that are suitable for children's sensitive skin types?
The children's make-up brands that we sell have been specially developed for children with ingredients that are not harmful to the health of your child. For example, you will not find hormone disruptors in it. Because so much emphasis is placed on safe and healthy children's make-up, it is actually already suitable for sensitive skin types in children. Why? Most irritations are caused by ingredients that are not good for health anyway, but are tolerated. Fortunately, nothing is tolerated anymore when it comes to make-up for girls, but only healthy make-up is accepted that does not have any negative consequences for the small children.
