Olaplex now has a considerable number of products in its range. We can imagine that it is difficult to figure out how to use everything and what order is best to follow. We looked it up for you!
Olaplex sells hair products to repair the damage your hair sustains due to frequent straightening, blow-drying, dyeing or bleaching your hair. The ingredients work together at a molecular level to reach and repair damaged hair from within. One of the important ingredients that ensures this is called bis-aminopropyl diglycol dimaleate. This restorative treatment transforms dry, porous hair into soft, shiny and strong hair.
Olaplex was founded by Dean Christal. He has entered into a collaboration with chemists Dr. Craid Hawker and Dr. Eric Pressly. This Dream Team has invented a chemical compound consisting of only one ingredient, without silicone and oil. Olaplex links broken bonds in the hair before, during and after color treatments, keeping your hair nice and strong!
Your hair consists mainly of the protein Keratin. This protein consists of a chain of amino acids, which are found in every hair. If the protein is good and your hair is not damaged, this chain will be strong, giving you strong hair. Sufficient protein ensures that your hair remains strong. If your hair is damaged, this chain is broken. The result: holes in the chain and therefore damaged hair. Did you know that bleaching breaks this chain? Olaplex ensures that the amino acids bond with each other again. It creates a link between the two separate amino acids, making the chain strong again. If you mix Olaplex with a bleaching powder, it will cause less damage to your hair. But there are more steps to keep your hair as strong as possible. Every Olaplex product contains this active restorative ingredient.
Olaplex has a total of 13 products in its range, all of which fit together perfectly. We can imagine that it is difficult to figure out how to use everything and what order is best to follow. We looked it up for you!

Of course! Olaplex is suitable for all hair types. So whether you have curly, straight, thin, damaged or dull hair... use it!
A keratin treatment is a semi-permanent treatment with liquid keratin that makes your hair smooth and soft. It nourishes your hair very well. The No.3 Hair Perfector is a great extra boost. So you can safely use it.
As a real Curly Girl, chemical treatment is of course not the best for your curls. With Olaplex you consciously choose to limit damaged hair and make your hair nice and healthy again.
Many different things can be found online about Olaplex and curly hair. It depends on your personal preference and the haircare routine you already use.
The balance between protein and moisture determines, among other things, the elasticity and stretch of your curly hair. With too much moisture and too little protein, your hair will stretch too much. Your curls will sag and may feel dry. Too much protein and too little moisture will cause your hair to stretch too little. This can cause hair loss.
After bonding treatments such as No.0 and No.3, it is wise to use shampoo and conditioner that do not contain too high protein levels. This actually dries out your curls. After a bonding treatment, your curly locks will benefit more from deeply moisturizing products. Because Olaplex shampoo and conditioner also have these bonding ingredients, this combination would not provide optimal results. This does not mean that Olaplex is unsuitable for the CG method, but it is good to find the right balance in the routine you use.
