      Which shampoo combats frizzy hair?

With curly hair we often hear complaints about frizz. People with curly hair quickly get frizzy because the hair structure is naturally more sensitive to moisture. Curly hair has more layers and grooves than straight hair, allowing the hair to absorb more moisture. When curly hair becomes damp, such as in humid weather or after a shower, the hair cuticles can expand and protrude, resulting in frizzy hair.

In addition, using certain hair products, such as shampoos with sulfates and alcohol, can dry out the hair and make it frizzier. Excessive brushing or combing of curly hair can also lead to frizz.

To prevent frizzy hair, it is best to choose a shampoo that is moisturizing. A shampoo that has been specially developed for curly hair often has a formula that prevents frizz. There are of course a number of shampoos that really stand out in the frizz area

Are there also curl shampoos that are free of parabens, sulphates and silicones?

Perhaps you are looking for a nice curl shampoo that makes your curls frizz-free and defined. Maybe you don't want to start with the Curly Girl Method, but just a good curl shampoo that is completely free of parabens, sulfates and silicones. Below you will find three curl shampoos that are free of all these ingredients.

How can I best maintain my curls?

This is a question that cannot be answered for everyone, what works for one person does not work for another. It is extremely important for yourself that you look at your curls, what they are doing. Do they absorb moisture quickly, or not? Do your curls fluff quickly, do your curls fall out quickly or do they look like a bunch of straw? Look at your curls and, based on the properties of your curls, look for products that match them. However, there are some very basic principles for every curl. That means using a mild shampoo, a conditioner, a leave-in conditioner and a curl product that will keep your curls in their own natural shape. So you basically start with four curl care products.
